Talesmith - Privacy Policy

Talesmith ("we", "our", or "us") built the Talesmith app, available on Google Play. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app in compliance with Google Play policies, COPPA, and GDPR-K.

Information we collect

We collect the following information through Firebase:

• Email and password for authentication purposes.
• Usernames and descriptions/bios provided by users.
• Game progress and saved game data, which can be stored on your device or optionally synced to Firebase cloud.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information only for the following purposes:

• To authenticate and manage your account.
• To store and retrieve your game progress and user profile data.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services in our app:

• Firebase Core, Firebase Auth, Firebase Functions
• Google In-App Purchases

These services may collect and store information according to their own privacy policies. Please review their policies for more details.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored locally on your device and optionally on Firebase servers if you choose to sync your game progress. We implement reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time through the app:

• Go to Settings > Delete Account.
• Enter your email and password to confirm deletion.
• All data associated with your account will then be permanently deleted from our servers.

Children's Privacy (COPPA / GDPR-K)

Our app may be used by children under 13 as well as older users. We do not collect more personal information from children than necessary. Parents or guardians can delete a child's account using the instructions above. By using the app, parents consent to the collection of their child's information as described in this policy.
